There are some things to consider before you make a decision on the concealed safe you want to purchase for your home.

1. Size

Hidden safes are usually small because they can be used to stash cash, passports, and jewelry. You should get a larger home safe if you intend to hide files, documents, laptops, or guns.

These safes may be small but you should still check them to ensure that they have enough room to store at least a few items. It is acceptable to have a capacity of at least 50 cubic inches.

2. Portability

When you travel, hidden safes are very handy. Everybody knows what a safe looks like. A small safe box is a good idea, as a thief could easily steal it. However, a hidden safe may fool them into believing it isn’t safe.

Hidden safes can be easily carried in luggage as they are usually travel-friendly. If you plan to take it with you on your trip, make sure it is lightweight and space-efficient.
